Individual Nutrition Education and Counseling
 

1:1 nutrition care can help clients achieve the following goals:

  • Optimizing sport performance (speed, strength, endurance, etc)

  • Addressing performance concerns (fatigue, digestive issues, etc)

  • Assessing macronutrient balance and micronutrient deficiencies

  • Managing food allergies and special nutritional needs

  • Managing nutrition-related clinical conditions (eating disorders and disordered eating, diabetes, food allergies and intolerances, IBS, crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis.)

  • Preventing and rehabilitating injuries

  • Supporting transition to college (dining halls, meal planning, etc).

  • Developing strategies for competition and travel nutrition

  • Reviewing nutritional supplements

3-Session Base Package: $350

Sessions will include:

  • 1 nutrition assessment (60 minutes)

  • 1 goal-setting session (45 to 60 minutes, depending on client need)

  • 1 support session (30 to 60 minutes, depending on client need)

Take-home resources will include:

  • Start-up packet

  • 1 individual nutrient analysis with personalized recommendations for calories, macronutrients, micronutrients, and fluids

  • 1 goal-setting template

  • 1 custom fueling plan

  • Additional resources as needed (educational resources, food lists, etc).

 

Additional support sessions:

- 30 minutes: $60

- 45 minutes: $90

- 60 minutes: $120

Endurance Fueling Plans
 

An endurance fueling plan can support athletes training for a half-marathon, marathon, ultra-marathon, or triathlon. This option provides a customized roadmap for what to consume before, during, and after competition. This plan is geared toward race day, and does not include education or counseling regarding overall nutrition intake. Individuals looking for a broader approach to fueling should select the Individual Nutrition Education and Counseling option.

3-Session Base Package: $250

Sessions will include:

  • 1 goal-setting session (45 minutes)

  • 2 support sessions and plan modifications

Take-home resources will include:

  • Start-up packet

  • 1 custom fueling plan with calorie, carb, sodium, and fluid goals for competition day

  • 2 plan modifications

  • Additional resources as needed (educational resources, food lists, etc).

 

Additional support sessions and plan modifications: $50 each

Group Nutrition Education
 

Performance Nutrition Basics for Small Groups:
60-minute virtual or in-person team session for groups up to 45 people, plus 15 minutes of group or individual Q&A after the session.

  • Includes access to take-home resources (performance fueling guide and worksheets)

  • Workshop is sport-specific and designed to be interactive.

  • This option is intended to help attendees understand how to use nutrition as a tool to support health and performance. 

As a result of this interactive workshop, attendees will understand foundational performance nutrition topics, including:

  • Calorie balance; how to avoid underfueling and REDS

  • Macronutrients and their roles in health and performance

  • Micronutrients of concern for athletes

  • When, what, and how much to eat before, during, and after training

  • Fluid balance and hydration

  • How to build balanced meals and snacks using the Performance Plate framework 

  • Practical strategies to help families integrate performance nutrition

Performance Nutrition Basics for Large Groups:

60-minute virtual or in-person team session for 45+ people, plus up to 30 minutes of group or individual Q&A after the session. 

  • Includes access to take-home resources (performance fueling guide and worksheets)

  • Workshop is applicable to all sports. Content is tailored based on general age group and gender. Coaches and parents are encouraged to attend. 

  • This option is intended to help student-athletes, coaches, and parents understand how to use nutrition as a tool to support health and performance. 

This option covers the same foundational nutrition topics as the small group session, but due to group size, is more informational and less interactive.

Creating a Performance Fueling Plan

Series of 3 x 45-minute virtual or in-person team sessions for groups up to 45 people, plus up to 15 minutes of Q&A after each session. 

  • Includes access to take-home resources (fueling guide and worksheets)

  • Provides tools to help student-athletes set goals and monitor progress throughout the program

Sessions cover the following topics:

  • Session 1: Fueling to optimize training adaptations (calories and macronutrients, micronutrients, performance plates, nutrient timing, and hydration)

  • Session 2: Fueling for real-life (meal prep, groceries, fueling schedule, etc)

  • Session 3: Fueling for competition (meals/snacks/hydration on-the-road, before/during/after competition)

This option is intended to help student-athletes take actionable steps toward developing and implementing an individualized performance fueling plan. This option provides the most customized and interactive experience

30-minute virtual or in-person team session for groups up to 45 people; available upon completion of Performance Nutrition Basics session

  • Each session covers a specific topics, including

    • Fluids and Hydration: Learn about the role of water, sports drinks, protein shakes, caffeine, and alcohol in sport performance

    • Supplements: Discuss the risks and benefits of supplement use for athletes. Learn about different supplement classifications and their roles in health and performance. Understand how to find safe and effective supplements for specific goals. 

    • Eating Disorders and Body Image: Learn about the health and performance consequences of underfueling and REDs. Discuss risk factors and prevention. Collaborate with teammates to create a positive team culture.

Performance Nutrition Program Consulting
 

Performance Nutrition Program Consulting can help high schools and colleges fuel their student-athletes. This option provides customized resources to guide athletic directors and coaches in the selection of team meals and snacks. 

 

Pre- and Post-Competition Meal Planning

Includes 1:1 consultation(s) with team staff

  • Provide restaurant recommendations for each competition location

  • Review menus and provide performance fueling recommendations at each restaurant

  • Suggest meal and snack timing based on competition schedule

  • Recommend accommodations for student-athletes with special diets (vegan, vegetarian, allergies, etc).

Can include nutrition education for student-athletes

  • Virtual or in-person team session with take-home resources

  • Lunch and learn with plate building activities

Dining Hall Menu Planning

Includes 1:1 consultation(s) with team staff

  • Develop performance menu, or create nutrition education based on existing menu options

Can include education for student-athletes

Fueling Station Planning
